Data Protection

Limerick Movement Against Racism (LMAR) complies with the Data Protection principles set out in the relevant legislation. The policy covers all personal data gathered.

Personal data is any information that relates to a person who can be directly or indirectly identified from that information. This includes but is not limited to a person’s name, email address, identification number or location.

LMAR only collects and retains data that is provided with users’ consent. Data is retained only for the purposes of providing information and encouraging participation in activities to combat or respond to racism.

GDPR requires data processing to be lawful, fair and transparent, and with that in mind we endeavor to provide full transparency as to the purpose, retention, transfer and use of data.

You can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us, by emailing [email protected]. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Data security

Appropriate security measures are taken to protect against unauthorised access to, or alteration, destruction or disclosure of any personal data held.
